In response to the celebration of the National Day and the Year of Zayed (2018), the Social Studies Department has prepared activities that would commemorate the values of Sheikh Zayed, specifically Human Development and Welfare.

The Year 1 students were enjoined to take part in our first ever Toy Drive! Students were asked to donate new or gently used toys. These were brought to Dubai Center for Special Needs for the school to use or to sell and gain funds from. While the Year 8 students were tasked to make a portrait of Sheikh Zayed (Hand drawn or created using digital devices) to show respect and appreciation to the founding father of the UAE. All the artworks were posted via the Google classroom, and parents/guardians purchased portraits for 10 aed only.

All of the proceeds were donated to Dubai Center for Special Needs School,P. O. Box 24921 Dubai, UAE, Tel+97143440966, website: www.dcsneeds.com.
