Event: World Polar Bear Day
Date: 25/2/2021
Participants: FS students.
Activity: Make or design a polar bear related craftwork or create an Arctic world using ice or shaving foam and pretend to play with some snow creatures in it.
Goal: The main objective of this activity is to help children understand the dangers to polar bears due to loss of their habitat caused by melting ice as a result of global warming.
Learning Outcome: The children are made aware that polar bears need sea ice to survive. This ice cap of the Earth is being melted away due to the rising temperature (global warming) . We can protect our environment by turning off the lights during the day or when we are not using it ( not wasting electricity) , recycling and not wasting water.
