‘Clean UAE’ Campaign by EEG on 5th Dec,2022
St. Mary’s Muhaisnah Primary joined the ‘Clean UAE’ campaign organized by Emirates Environmental Group at a desert area in Ajman on 5th Dec. 2022. 124 students from years 3 to 6 participated in the campaign. They were accompanied by 12 staff members.
The inauguration of the event at 9.00 am was made by the cofounder and chairperson of EEG, Sheikha Habiba Al Marashi. T-shirts, caps and refreshment were provided by the organisers. A medical unit was in attendance to attend to students who needed some rest or care.
The students, proudly wearing the special T-shirt and cap distributed by the organisers, collected the litter left behind by picnickers in garbage bags which were specially distributed by EEG. They worked tirelessly for 2 hours, picking up things that could be classified as waste, and left the area clean. The waste was then ready for sorting into plastic, paper and other recyclable materials by the organizers. The wholesome refreshments provided by the organisers were enjoyed by the students.
